Sophs - Army Wife - Team Lead

Hi I'm Sophs, a 30 year old military wife and the creator of Pad Wives Assemble Podcast. Recently I was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD, which has been a life changing journey of self-discovery. By day, I work as a Senior Resource Manager for a Defense company, a role I absolutely love. I've been happily married to my husband for 3 wonderful years and together for 5. When I’m not working or podcasting, you can find me embracing my highly competitive nature—something that comes from my background in Gymnastics cheerleading. I competed at world championship level and continued to compete regionally and nationally until I was 16. I’m also someone who is petrified of bugs, creepy crawlies, and heights, so stepping outside of my comfort zone is a big deal for me. Don't forget to donate to Team Ready..

I'm Yvonne, 27, mother of three, born in Bulgaria, raised in North Manchester, and now living in Cambridge with my partner in the military. I've worked in public-facing roles throughout my life, including as a student paramedic, police employee, and housing support officer. I've also volunteered with BLESMA, supporting veterans, and worked with veterans’ organizations in my hometown of Bury. I spent 10 years as a drummer and glockenspiel player in the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Corps of Drums and was the armed forces champion in Bury, working on OP NOVA.In 2023, after struggling with my weight and being bullied, I had gastric sleeve surgery, losing 8 stone. This was the hardest challenge of my life, but it transformed me into the healthier, happier mother I always wanted to be. Sponsor Yvonne Here by donating

I'm entering the trials as the military spouse community has been hugely beneficial to me recently during a 4 month period without my partner. I'm also keen to test my limits and try new things with new people.Im hugely proud to be raising funds for combat stress and supporting the life saving work they do each day to support military personnel. There have been huge leaps in the last decade in recognising mental health, especially in military personnel, and huge progress has been made. However, it is vital the momentum continues and lives saved.! Sponsor Eve by donating here

Hi, I’m Amanda — a proud Army wife, former pad brat, and passionate advocate for the military spouse community. I’ve spent my life connected to the armed forces, first as the daughter of a serving soldier for 22 years, and now as the wife of an active-duty soldier for the past 9 years. Born in Germany and raised across multiple countries thanks to my father’s service, I had a childhood full of movement, adventure, and cultural experiences that shaped who I am today. That unique upbringing taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of strong community — values that guide my life and work. I founded Military Spouse Support – Girlfriends, Wives, and Partners UK, a Facebook community created to connect, empower, and support fellow partners navigating the realities of military relationships. If I set my sights on something, I’ll give it everything I’ve got — no matter what challenges lie ahead. Building strong communities and pushing through to reach my goals is what motivates me every single day. Sponsor Amanda by donating here
