Rationed and Ready is a high-stakes competition where two teams of 8 military spouses face intense, military-style challenges led by veterans. From bomb defusal to survival tactics, each episode mirrors real-life missions their partners face — testing physical strength, mental grit, and emotional resilience.
These spouses aren’t just competing for victory — they’re raising funds for Combat Stress, supporting veterans post-service. Each mission-style episode pushes teams through simulated operations that demand courage, intelligence, and teamwork.
Can they match the strength of their partners? Absolutely — if they can summon the same grit and unity that defines military life.

Spud Truck Dreams: Helping Arron Turn His Passion for Food into Hope for Veterans
Arron's journey is one of profound transformation. From the battlefields of Afghanistan to the challenges of transitioning back into civilian life, Arron has faced more than his fair share of adversity. After serving as a heavy weapons specialist with the Duke of Lancaster Regiment, 1st Battalion, Arron returned home carrying the weight of unimaginable losses and struggles—losing comrades, facing the death of his father, dealing with PTSD, and finding himself homeless. His journey was a difficult one, leading him to moments of despair, but Arron never gave up.
Sophie, Kirsha, and their families are embarking on the Nuts Challenge Colour Run on 31st May 2025 to raise the much-needed funds to help Arron kick-start his business and turn his dream into reality. You can read Arron's full story on the donation link below.

Scotty's Little Soldiers Charity Walk
The Pad Wives Assemble Podcast team, joined by friends, supporters, and loyal listeners, came together for an incredible cause—raising funds for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity dedicated to supporting bereaved children of British Armed Forces personnel.
In a powerful show of solidarity and determination, the group took on the challenge of climbing Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales. Their efforts paid off in a big way, raising over £1,100 to help provide vital support and opportunities for children who have lost a parent in military service.
This inspiring event not only showcased the strength of the military community but also highlighted the impact that collective action can have when driven by compassion and purpose. Watch our full vlog below!
Halloween Event
The Pad Wives Assemble Podcast team brought the spirit of Halloween to life in Aldershot with a fun-filled event for local children—all in support of Scotty’s Little Soldiers, the charity that supports bereaved children of British Armed Forces personnel.
The event featured:

Families from across the community came together in costume to enjoy the festivities, and thanks to their generosity and enthusiasm, the event raised valuable funds for a truly meaningful cause.
